Laughing, Weeping, Living

Life happens. You laugh about it or cry about it, sometimes both.

My name is Judy. I’m a housewife and stay-at-home mom. Stephen is my adorable nearly-three year old. My baby Agnes recently passed away from chronic health problems. My husband Jeremy works hard to take care of us all, and is just generally the best husband ever. Mostly my life is fairly average, though I tell you what, these past two years have been really tough. Sometimes my life makes me laugh, sometimes it makes me cry. I enjoy coffee more than I should, and sleep not as much as I would like. I used to be a professional musician and some days I miss it so much. My family is Catholic and sometimes I write about it. We’ve recently discovered the beauty of Eastern Catholicism, aka the Byzantine Rite! We have a wonderful parish family here in Akron, Ohio.

I started this blog in February 2013 as a place to process the episodes of my life. Often I struggle to appreciate my work as a mother and housewife. But the way I see it, there’s got to be at least one thing every day that is interesting enough or meaningful enough to write about. By keeping this blog I hope to live day to day with a greater awareness of blessings, and a bit of detachment if things aren’t going so great. I plan to post often, hopefully a few times a week or at least as often as I think of something interesting to write about!

Thanks for visiting, and I hope you enjoy reading my blog!

I love to grocery shop, too. My pet peeve is crowds. I love to go early in the morning when I’m pretty much assured that I don’t have to jostle for space or push other people’s carts out of the way. Petty, I know, but it’s just a little quirk.
